Spring 2011

This project, done collectively during an OSU studio, explored the subject of mobility with the medium of inflatables. was focused on exploring the subject of mobility. Using strategically placed seams on the plastic, the form can be manipulated once inflated with the air source. Plastic was ironed in certain locations in order to produce desired interior spaces.

Two main parts compose the inflatable; the larger plastic shell, and the attached cone shapes. Using an irregular perimeter provides areas of lift, giving opportunities to slip underneath the inflatable. Within the interior, occupants
are taken through a large space that subdivides into smaller areas dictated by the location of seams.
